Changement !

It’s time for a change.

After a long break from painting where I focused on the renovations of my studio I couldn’t return to my abstract work. Don’t get me wrong, I loved and still love the work I did, but I was running in circles, not finding a way to take it to another level. I always wanted to evolve my work and really felt I had no more way to go. I also didn’t get any pleasure from making new work (I tried!) and was just working and painting on autopilot.

Soooooo, I decided to go for the work I was creating on the side. I never posted publicly about that work on my website or social media but had the feeling there was a new world there for me to explore. After long discussions with friends, artists and myself, I took the jump. Not making the work under a pseudo, as I considered for a while, just as myself, full of confidence (which varies by the hour to be honest).

I’m having great days in the studio now and the ideas are flying in. Excited for this new path and the new world I can explore!

I will post some progress pictures of the studio soon, so you can see how the studio is evolving in a great space.
